you should get some cloth backed foam and sew the pleats into the foam to give it that 3d look. kudos on tackling it yourself though.

I'm going to fool around with it some more..... I brought the bike to a show Friday (with no seat pad)and all I heard was "that's so sick!, but that seat look uncomfortable!" after about 500 of those comments I broke out the sewing machine(first time using one) and this was what I got.

Ha! .... Found the problem..... Someone was in them before..... Drilled the pilots out to like 3/32?!?!?!?.....

Love your bike. I'm debating upholstering mine myself. Local guy wants 200$ and I have to make the base.

I paid $30 for it on eBay, it was pretty beat up. I only used the outer shell, I had to make the tunnel
