the new ride (well, i own it again after 10 years)

Been Around the Block
I just bought the last GL I owned back after 10 years... I am doing it like my 1st GL back in 86... kind of a big cafe cruiser. I love the cafe style, but with all the highway time I spend, the big flat 4 is nice and smooth. So, anyway, here is the current point of the conversion. Still to come is the new rear light/signals/plate mount, a front fender and eventually rear sets.

The new harley front fender is on, the bar end mirrors arrive today and I'm looking at several used tail lights that are much smaller than the stock GL stuff today as well. I'm hoping to have everything but the seat taken care of by this weekend.

pulled the lolliepops off and put the left bar end mirror on today during a break at work. i'll give her a proper use on the way home!

A naked wing is my second favorite nake thing....

My next ride is going to be a GL stripped down for fun..

Now with the single mirror and no lollipops... completely changes the look!

Ha ha all Hinda pretty much use a green wire for ground. The only black ones are ont he batter, but they usually have a little green heat shrink around the end. I like the blue. Just about to do my timing belts so they don't crap on my way to Barber. It is going to be about 4000 miles round trip!

i'm not sure if i should go with some really small front signals or switch to earlier GL round fronts. the rear won't have any at all since they are integrated into the stop lamp.

front fender is in paint... just needed to mount it before the rain comes. i have to get the rear fender off and prepped for paint, but the rain is gonna get here before I can.

My daughter knows how to keep me humble. She has named the bike, "Blueberry Muffin" and older daughter liked it, so the name is gonna stick
