THE POWDER PRO -- JRK5892 - unfortunately, this is a BAD review

So I met Joe here at DTT a couple years ago. OVER A YEAR AGO... (yes, march 2010) I mailed him three boxes of parts... Some various bits to powder gloss black, 3 pairs of carbs and a set of carb rebuild kits, to build 1 good pair of carbs from, and my hubs and a set of new bearings to put in once powder coated...

It's been 13 months now and I still have not gotten my parts back. I have an email from april of 2010 saying my hubs were done. I've been asking him for months to paypal me an invoice so I can get him paid and get my parts back so I can finish my project. I've sent multiple emails and he always promises to get back to me... BUT NEVER ANY FOLLOW THROUGH. I've contacted his business partner who said he would check into and get back, twice now, and has not followed through.

So as of right now, I'm out all the money in parts, the money for carb rebuild kits, the money for bearings, and over a year of frustration.

As of right now the only thing I can say about The Powder Pro is that he is a liar, and if he doesn't return the parts, then quite possibly a thief. Out of fairness I sent him an email in February asking him to wrap it up, invoice me for whats been done, and stick what hasn't been done in a box and send it back to me.... and I warned him that if he didn't resolve it soon, I would post a negative review on DTT.

I can tell you I wouldn't have had that much patience and wait that long.....if you have the shipping receipts and emails, might not be a bad idea to contact the local law enforcement...or bike club ;)
Where is that shop at?

I've filed a complaint against the powder pro with the chicago and northern illinois Better Business Bureau. I hate it when people force me into being a dick.

You are one patient person, that's a long time to wait for anything. I don't know Joe personally, but he always came across on this forum as a stand up guy.

I really hope this gets worked out and you get your stuff back. Let us know if there are any updates.

Wow. Some more months have gone by. Finally got my hubs back in the mail. Powder coat was nice, but had lots of small scratches in it from being wrapped in the bubble wrap for so long. His business partner Sean Falls finally got involved, and promised to get the rest of the parts and carbs to me as soon as possible. That was in early april. I have yet to see my carbs or box of other parts. I contacted him in late may to ask where these were, and he said they would send them out in 2 days. It's now a month later, still no parts, still no invoice for the hubs, 2 un-returned voicemails have been left....

So in July my other box of parts finally showed up(16 months). I sent an email in late august asking where my carbs were, and they said they had been sent, but could not provide any tracking information. I sent another email a few days ago asking for more information, and they said the carbs were lost. I sent them three pairs of carbs and the rebuild kits. So that adds up to some $. I feel like I shouldn't pay for a service that took them 15 months to complete, and I'm out the carbs and rebuild kits.

To sum up my experience with The Powder Pro - They suck. I don't like being lied to, put off, stolen from... They might be nice guys, I make no judgements there... but the service was the worst customer service experience I've had in the automotive sector. I know Joe is on the board here, and I'm not slinging insults, just sharing my experience.

that really blows dude, im afraid i havent got that much patience.
hope you get your carbs back soon, :(
