i just purchased some mikuni 30mm carbs for my 69 cb350. my oem throttle cable will not work with these carbs. does anyone have any reccomendations as to whhich throttle cable tp use and where i can get it. thanks
You could try to use a 1 into 2 throttle cable from www.mikesxs.com which is made for the Mikuni VM carbs - assuming these are the carbs you have? Does your throttle have a push/pull cable setup or just pull?
I just purchased a cable from speedmotoco which is for the mikuni vm's, you do have to do some solder work to get your length so i will let you know how it turns out.
I would go with PJ's advice.
The 2 to 1 cable I got is a pain. It does not like to work with the stock throttle housing also-keeps getting stuck and very difficult to turn and there doesnt seem to be to many bends in my cables?. I am going with the two cable housing and the bike cables, just picked two up for $10.
I cant seem to find where to buy those homemade cable adjusters though (tried Home depot, Autozone and ACE?? Any ideas?
