WOW... What a night.
We didnt make it to Tim's last night... We spent most of evening giving the police statments!!...
DJLing (Eric) got into an accident on his 69 cb450 last night on our way to Tim's last nigth!!
We met up at the gates as usual, DJLing, CrabCakes, Max, Saucer, DrJ and myself.
DJLing tells us of a party at a bar called BrazenHead, just around the corner where there was free food...
So of course we decided to make out way over to get free buffalo burgers!!.. DrJ splits off to go to Tims...
We get to the BrazenHead park the bikes and decided that, we considering out attire, we wont get in... So we decided to leave and make our way to Tims...
DJLing is leads us out, MAx behind him, Im behind Max, then Saucer & CrabCakes...
All of suddenly I notice sparks flying from DJLing's bike...I coudlnt tell what was causing the massive sparks but I chuckle to myself thinking that his muffler came loose and was dragging...
All of a sudden WHAM... I coudnt believe my eyes,
The back end of his cb450 smacks the back end of a parked Mercedes Benz the bike goes flying, pieces eveywhere and DJLing gets thrown like a rag doll about 15 feet down the street!!...
HOLY SHIT!!... Max brakes hard to avoid Eric's bike on the ground, I brake hard to avoid Max and Eric's bike on the road.
We all get off the bikes to see if Eric was Ok... his cb450, was still running and going bonkers, (spitting out oil and gas everywhere), while it was on its side!!.. The back end of the parked Benz was fucked. CrabCakes practically picked up the bike with his left hand and put it upright on its side stand.
Eric was on the ground, zoning in and blacking out, blood everywhere...
It was pretty tense...people/bystanders all around trying to keep Eric comfortable and awake, SAucer on the cellphone calling 911..
So when Eric zones back in, he goes.."So... how do I look??"... LOL!!..eveyone brakes out in a laugher, relieved...
CrabCakes goes.."dude, Im not gay but I'll take you to the prom!!''...Eric goes.. " fuck.. dont make me laugh..it hurts!!"...
Ambulance was there in a few moments, the police show up & shut the road down... Even CP24 was there!
Saucer accompanies a dazed out Eric to the hospital in the ambulance, the rest of us were stuck behind giving statements.
Anyhow, after 2 hrs of giving statements, etc..etc... I finally made it over to Toronto General Hospital.
Im glad to report, Eric is OK a little messed up but he'll live!!.. he might be there for awhile but he'll be able to tell the story to his grand kids!!
Funny thing, one of the police officers recognized me..."Hey Noel, when UR finished giving the statement, come talk to me!!"...No,...Not what you guys think!!... Turns out hes also a DTT member!!...(Holy shit.. what a small world...)
SO what the fuck happened??!!..
Upon leaving the Brazenhead parking lot, Eric's sidestand was down. Either he forgot to put it up or it came down on its own. (spring popped/broke off?)
The road had a slight curve to the left.
As Eric was turning with the curve on the road, the side-stand was scraping the road, eventually the bike pivoted on the stand, causing the back end to lift, lose control of the bike and hit the parked Mercedes CLK
That cb450 sure gave that mercedes a spanking...
So a bunch of special thanks!!
Tony for coming from Brampton to Toronto at 12am with the trailer to pick up whats left of Eric's bike...He just saved Eric at least $500 for towing and storage
- Looks like we have a new winter project huh?
Saucer for accompanying Eric to the Hospital and staying with him till his family showed up
CrabCakes, for staying at the scene till past 12am to watch whats left of Eric's bike until Tony showed
Max for being there and keeping a cool head amongst the chaos!!
James (the DTT member & police officer), for helping out.. (and not bustin my ass for all those unpaid parking tickets!!)
Penny, the medical professional who just happened to be on the scene to help out
& the dude on the bike who brought over a bag of ice!!
