Tim's 1975 BMW R75/6

Re: Tintin's 1975 BMW R75/6

Got the throttle cables rerouted without removing them from the throttle ;)

Removed the handlebar clamps and final two 6mm bolts holding the gauge mount. Arm wrestled the cables from the throttle side (brake and throttle) to the left side of the gauge mount from the original right side. Allows for nice smooth operation now.

The clutch cable on the other hand is for some stupid (although likely reasonable in a German sort of way) through a hole in the gauge mount. Have to remove it from the engine end to reroute as the top end of the cable is too fat to fit through the hole. So that will be for another night, and it works anyhow. Just a little heavy to pull but it snaps back into position no problem thanks to the heavy springs.

Will take it out tonight for another death-defying test run.
