Today was a bad day...

Ribo

Twist the "go-go" side and hold on!
Today started out nice - then I dropped my phone onto my gas tank... fucker chipped the tank and then hit the floor cracking the glass on the back of the phone.... irony was i was heading out to go buy a new case for my phone so I took the old one off...grrrrrrr

Could really use y'all's help on the best way to deal with the chip - good news is I can't see it so well right now after drowning my sorrow in 4 bottles of Firestone Wookie Jack.

Chip is pee-size.

Doubtful you can find a nail polish that matches that, but thats one way. If it's a automotive factory color, you can use a touch up bottle. If it's rattle can, you can spray some into the cap or a small container, and take a really small brush and dab some touch up. 1500 grit/2000 grit sanding, rubbing compound, hand glaze and blend.

If it's any consolation, my wife's iPhone had a glitch, to Apple replaced it for free. Then, not a week later our daughter dropped it and cracked it. Oh well.

Thanks man,

It's a rattle can.

When you say "hand glaze" what would I use for that?

Fortunately it's a work phone so they will replace it - I just have to wait till December and explain why I'm an idiot to my boss.

I think Ichiban moto makes a repair kit for that kind of thing.

pee-size or pea-size.......i'm thinking pee-size would be more splash shaped ;D

Haha - you-za-funny! To my defense your honor, I was in-fact very very drunk...

For little chips like that I like to use a toothpick to pick up a drop of paint and then lay it in the chip. You'll have to build up the paint over several drops, but it should dry quickly between. If it's rattle-can as you said, you might want to spray it into a cup (no Styrofoam) and let it thicken up for a few minutes before you start the touch-up.

as opposed to having lots of shots the other night

Nah, just beer -- 9.5% very very tasty beer!

I was able to do the first paint fill tonight - I'll see how it looks in the morning - might need more to fill it before sanding down and clear.

I'll post a picture when it's done... but for now - here's the beer :)
