Just want to give a shout out to this new shop on Ossington between Dundas and Queen. Town Moto bills itself as a shop for the urban motorcyclist. More towards the functional fashion side.

+1 for no Firestones on display. Might have to drop by and see what's what. Even some full face helmets.

If it's not raining Thursday night might stop on my way downtown.

I was walking that stretch a few weeks back and saw an old bike parked right about where this is. Looked cool.

Good stuff.

Looks well done. I've been looking for a pair of deerskin riding gloves. This might be the place. Who are they guys/gals behind this?

Best place for deerskin gloves is Home Depot or Princess Auto etc. $5-$10 a pair.

Operated by Andrew and Marika, her parents own a Triumph dealership in Ottawa. Andrew parks his new Triumph out front and the CB750 in the window is also his. I've never met them before the store opened but we have mutual friends. Stay tuned for a grand opening street event sometime next month. Ossington desperately needs a shakeup, it's become way too 905.

I've went to princess auto on an unrelated hunt and checked out their gloves as well. They didn't have what I wanted and usually big box stores like Home Depot have only large sizes. I ended up getting a nice pair from ebay (US made).

I'll definitely try and make it out to the grand opening. From the pics it seems like they've done a good job of capturing the niche.

As soon as an area is deemed edgy or hip it's quickly infiltrated by businesses that transform it into the opposite. The ozz is no exception.

Had a really positive experience at Town Moto last week.
Even though they didn't have any women's jackets that would fit me, the owner(?) and I had a long and informative chat about the woes of being a small woman looking for a quality jacket that's not pink/blinged/gaudy-as-all-hell.

they also work with lowbrow customs, so if you want anything from that site they will get it in for you. that means no shipping and no customs fees. pretty awesome.
