TRIUMPH T100 WIREING ISSUE

It would be great if someone could help me.
Just moving my ignition switch to the back of the bike, to do this i need to extend the wires.
I need to buy the correct guage/amp wires.
does anyone know what size wires these are in the pic, so i can buy the correct size to extend my ignition switch.
any help would be great!

not sure of guages et but i you could cut half an inch off the wire you need to lengthen and take it with you to the store to match it up. but the thickness of te core is the important bit not the covering.

Probably 16 or 18 gauge. Can't go wrong really with 16. Might be a tad heavier than the stock wiring, but the same size connectors will fit so you should be in OK shape, or of course if you solder the connections then no worries either.

Depending on how long you extend them, sometimes going up a gauge is a good idea as well.

That's enough reason to not extent the wiring and leave the switch up front.

I cut the end of the wires and tried to match them as closely as I could. Seemed to work ok. No problems so far!

You used all the same color wire? :-\

Yeah unfortunately the colour of wires was hard to come by, so i mark every wire with what colour it should be, not ideal but made the best out of the situation. The Problem is solved and looks great so time to move on with the build.

Send me your address, a list of wire colors and the length. I can pull what you need from our cut off bin and you can do the job correctly.
