Ofcourse it's only an opinion, but those rear-lights look just so 'big' and not style-correct...to me?

I actually agree with you. I want to use them because they are high quality led lights, and free!
The picture did come out funny tho. The lights are actually going to be tucked up under the tail, and I'm toying with the idea of making a sort of face plate that will cover the unit but allow the light to shine through. Thanks for the input tho, I like hearing opinions!

Quick update. Everything welded up and ready for finishing bodywork. I also dented the tank. Made the shape with masking tape on one side, traced, peeled, flipped and traced on the other.

Good question...
I'm not sure yet. I've thought of removing the flap and welding in a filler plate, but on the other hand I kind of like the flap. Who knows, I'm sure I'll change my mind tomorrow lol.

Started some finishing work on the tail. I'm planning on upholstering the section that sits against the tank as well as the ribbed seated area.

I personally like the filler flap, however I am finding that shit and fuel ends up under it. I think if the tank is full enough and I lean enough that fuel seeps out and sits on my nice paintwork with me non the wiser until I fill up next. Hence my paint is kinda yellow under the flap. Maybe instead I should just spend some time gettting a better seal on my cap.

One step forward, two steps back. After being extremely careful sanding around the body lines, I got a little careless during final wet sanding. Oh well, time to start over. At least i got a glimpse of what the finished product will be, and I am pleased with the results!
