Hey, I got me one of those. The idea is to fit it over (and attach it to) your headlight. I dunno about you, I had to do a bit of chopping on that fender to make it fit, ie, enlarge the opening, file down spots for the blinkers, yadda yadda.

Anyways, you could probably buy a windshield mounting kit. But if you wanna go commando with it, head out to home depot and pick up a pair of L-bracket, the non-reinforced kinds coz you're gonna have to bend them to a sharper angle. You attach the brackets to each side of the headlight utilizing the headlight mounting bolts. Also buy a pair of bolts, nuts, and four wide washer. You use those to attach the fairing to the L-brackets.

A couple visual aids to help you along:

BTW, fair warning, you're gonna have to mess with the brackets quite a bit until the fairing sits right. But, when you finally get the right angles to it, you could pop the fairing on or off within a couple minutes.

No problem, man. Good luck with it. If you need to cut into the fender, you could use one of them drummel tools. I bought mine with attachments years ago, so don't really recall the price on that (I dunno, maybe $30 or something). I've used it so many times on various projects, I'm sure it paid for itself several times over by now.

Anyways, saw into the fender where you need to, sand down the rough edges, and you're good to go.

i may actually cut the ABS way down to a micro screen if i don't like the look. luckily it was cheap enough that cutting isn't a big deal...

well, i've got to do something a bit different since my turns are currently mounted to my headlamp. hmmm... still gonna get it on there this weekend, just might take a bit more bracketing to get there.
