Turn Signals going crazy

If it's already answered somewhere, I apologize in advance... right now so frustrated, just need to vent. But I will gladly take any help offered. ;)

Background. Mostly stock 1981 Honda CM400E, the other day the right side turn signals were working fine, left side just turned solid. Opened them up, assuming bad bulb. Now, the left side is off while riding but solid ON when turn signal is active. Right side front, flashes once then solid, while the rear just turns off. Checked the the cluster f#$k that is inside the headlight & just got pissed off. Don't even have the slightest idea as to which to direction to take it, short of complete rewire. Which might be the case... Never thought the first customization I did on this bike would be wiring.

/rant Thanks for listening...

A) Charge your battery

2) Check for loose grounds

III) Get an electronic flasher

1. - New Battery

2. - Will run through them again

3. - Probably will be the route I go. Need to rid myself of these horrendous lights anyway.

Thanks.

Old bikes are resistance based flashers - and old wiring harnesses can get corroded connectors that cause vastly different resistances, sometimes they even change resistance with the slightest vibration of the wires. Before you spend money on a new flasher, spent 3 bucks on a can of electronic parts cleaner, and clean and file the contacts in your light sockets and flasher spades. If that fails, rock the electronic flasher if you need to replace things - it will future proof you for LED lighting if you ever choose to change to that.
