turn signals...

ok, so I have an 82 gs 1100, and am putting k6 gsxr 1000 switches on it. according to the wiring diagrams I should only have three wires to deal with. right turn signal works, hazards work, but no left turn signal. my thought is that the switch is broken. is there something simple I might be missing? both signals worked before cutting the old switches off.

Just use a continuity tester to check the wires on the switch, then you'll know for sure whether or not the switch is working

and i did do that when I first got them, that was how i tracked down which wires were which, that's why I'm at loss

idk, i'll have to go through it all again with the multimeter this week sometime. I would think the ground is good considering it works when the hazards are on.

looking at the gs1100 wiring diagram, there are two components I need to dig into. the turn signal relay, which I might replace anyway as it's having other issues. And the turn signal control unit. Hope it's not the control unit. I really didn't want to have to start to do the re-wire until this winter.

got er fingered out. the wires are black, light blue, and light green. The old ones in the harness are faded from the engine heat, I had the light green and light blue crossed up. Gotta love when you get in your own way.
