Two seats cafe?

CB360

Hi guys! I'm curently planning/drawing my winter built (a CB360) and wondering if someone ever made a double seat cafe? I've tried finding some exemple here and with google without much success.

I know that a cafe is not meant to accomodate a passenger, but I've been asked so many times for a ride with my last bike (one seater) that I would really like to make in happen next summer. Cool bikes are real chicks magnets you know!

So, would it be stupid to elongate the seat of my future cafe so a lad could ride with me?

Thanks

Mines extendable. The rear fairing sits over the second half of the seat, then when I want to add a passenger I slide the fairing back on rails. I don't have picts yet cuz the bike is still a work in progress. There are a couple builds on here though that have similar ideas.

Thank you guys!

@loudboy : Post pics when you can! I would really like to see it!

@iSack1L : Thank you for the keyword ;-) Found some ideas... but not exactly what I have in mind for now...

My bike seat fits 2. I didn't make it, found on ebay.

Hey man what about a pillion pad? My brother in law has one on his enfield. It mounts on the rear fender. My sister rides all the time with him. And it really doesn't take away from the bike

There were a couple of 1 + 1/2 seats around in the early sixties - from memory one was for BSA another may have been Velocette. I'll have a trawl through.

There was one for sale at last week's Classic Bike show in the autojumble !!

DR J... can you show me what the pan looks like on that seat? I'm interested in making some two ups, but my idea was to use original seat pans. That way its a guaranteed fit but I'm curious to see what others have done.

Thank you guys for your help! There's pretty good idea there!!

@66replica Your bike is beautiful!
