Two stroke bikes, your thoughts.

Nothing wrong with my keybord MR.
-3000.usd will be approx 17 890.1545 Norwegian kroner, and thats a fair price when these yamahas are rare in my part of the globe
Guess i could polish it and sell it of for 4500,-usd easily..(its less than a monthly paycheck)
But if i get it it will stay in my garage for the rest of its life!

Two stroke bikes, your thoughts.

Missed that you were opposite me on the ocean, sorry!

So you found 2-stroke heaven ;D ;D.

I just found a 1973 Yamaha R5 in mint condition white and burgundy unrestored but the owner wants 3000$ for it.......
But i`ve decided to have it i think..... :-\

Wow, $3000!! I'd take that for my 1970 R5 serial #000012 with low miles, and in need of restoration

Vintage bikes are gold up here, they can be kept free of taxes from the goverment, and if they are under 10 yrs. with +100bhp you bleed when the ensurance bill hits you in the face....
In my cbr900rr with some tuning would cost me about 3500.usd a season with all the bonuses in the world...
Old 2 strokes are the most fun u can have for each dollar paid!

i cut a nice r5 in half with 343 miles on it. no restoration in the world will fix it o and it cost 500 bucks to buy 3000 is way to much, i dont care if you live on the moon

I`we heard that there are less then 20 bikes of this year and model in the entire nation, and i have the money for it, bud i have ti try get a better deal or else i`m going to shop a H1 or H2 instead because they are in greater numbers..

Hey walms, exactly how snotty do your chambers sound unsilenced? Im trying to figure out how to source materials to build silencers. Also what frame mods are required for the h1 set?

Unsilenced chambers on a tuned up smoker will make your head explode. They are absolutly NOT friendly to neighbors or local noise ordinances. In other words, they're perfect. ;)

they are this perfect

Back in the late '60's/early '70s, when 2/'s first started developing useful hp, there was no such thing as a silencer stuck on the end of a stinger.

And they were loud!! Nowadays two of my most used words are Huh? What?

Two-strokes, eh? We got a few, love the old smokers.
