UK GS550 cafe bike build

Hello everyone!
After reading about so many different peoples projects, it is finally time for my own!

A few months back I got 2 GS550s off ebay for just over £400, which I didn't think was a bad price at all!

The aim was to get one of them working and to turn it into a cafe racer.

Well, it has been a very slow few months, due to volunteering or working every day of the week, so only been able to spend a couple of hours each week working on it on Saturday mornings before work.
Here are the two bikes before any work was done on them.

I'll post more with what work has been done etc as I do it, and will make up for the backlog of stuff that has happened over the past few months

The GS550 is a great bike to start with. I'm still working on mine. 8)

Seconded! Great bike to work on, solid and reliable and they look great too! Mine has taken 18 months but was a rolling project, still not 100% there, but great fun.
