Valvoline VR1 oil with wet clutch?

Anyone using Valvoline VR1 oil with a wet clutch?

Full synthetic causes hell to break loose on old wet clutch systems. They will slip like crazy. I learned that the hard way and ended up having to soak the friction plates in kerosene to get the slippery stuff out. I would guess yhe vr1 would do the same on our old girls.

I run Rotella in my bikes after having it suggested by many here and other places. Works a treat.

On the back of the container it should have a JASO MA rating. That will tell you it's for wet clutches. I use Rotella 15 40 also.
