Finally gotten around to modifying the back end , but with few tools and diddy rusty vice so tried it this way . . . . .
Yep, bullet indicators, smaller reg plate, and twin rear light from 'ebay'

All bits from 'wilko' store included bag of nuts/washers/bolts, cable ties, cycle innertube, metal gate hinges ! and thin fixing plates as holes already there, and were easy to drill and hack saw
Tap washers and extra metal washers used to mount the indicators
Cut off and re-used existing electrical connectors
Has turned out robust enough, prob will replace the plastic lunch box at some point tho !

Holes also already in ace frame cross member at rear, so easy to bolt the hinges into position along with the fixing plates
Marked were cutting required and then bent whole thing in vice with a little persuasion
Two holes required to mount the light/reg holder
Looks better ???

I fitted the ooracing 303kit and the jets but think its running rich as wont pull top now and then even slows !!!
was getting 100kph plus with original jets ! , and made excellent noise on over-run
i have kept air box but replaced the foam element

Looks good to me,
Brilliant idea the hinges (well done wilko's), Can't help thinking, if only you could of thought of a way to keep the hinge assy you could of used it as a quick release to get the rear wheel out a bit easier
I will have to watch out for the M/c tuning dept in our local store (ha ha).
Also it's great that there isn't a load of off the shelf goodies for these bikes, as it would take away a lot of the fun.

Wires tied to frame would be nice as you may damage them if you go over a big enough bump.

Thanks orrible, nice n tight , i threaded the wires thru a cycle inner tube and that is cable tied to the frame.
The cdi sits on a foam pad n that and the plastic box is also cable tied to frame cross plate
Will check again tho as the ace surely does vibrate too !!!
Luckily only had a loose footpeg so far !

Nice mod fella.
Who would have thought of a few gate hinges as a bike mod, only a English man.
Not bad at all for a bloke over other side of the Hill. :D
