Victoria! Zeke's CB175 Build

Will the cb 450 front brake fit in a cb77 hub...they use the same shoes???

We need some help. We pressed the steering stem out of the cb350 tree. Do we bush the 350 tree to accept the 175 stem and then weld it up?

So I cleaned up the cb450 front brake with simple green and a toothbrush and it looks awesome. We also learned how to use a polishing wheel and my dad cleaned up the Akront rim. Now we are ready for polishing both.

Just caught the smiley face on the sprocket. Nice :). What product did you guys use on that hub when you ran it under the wheel (or were you referring to the wheel that you polished)?

Sweet I'll do it. I have a little polishing kit from eBay that comes with all of the compounds. I just need a wheel. It came with some drill shank wheels but I can justify the $50 for a bench wheel at HF.

It amazes me how well you have to clean the part to avoid mixing compounds between stages.

We have sanded our parts in the past 220-600 grit then used the cone that goes on a drill. It worked great. Simple green takes off the polish. We also use it for hand cleaner. The wheel was amazing. With the 25% off coupon you can get the big wheel for the about $50. The 3 pack polishing kit has better wheels for polishing wheels. You can also put the smaller pads on the big polisher. That wheel hoop was a mess and that was about 15 minutes. Be careful not to heat the aluminum up.

I dug up a 16,000 RPM electronic tacho from an RF600 in our stash. I was going to use it on a race CB160 just to screw with people's heads, but you are welcome to it if you need it.

that would be way cool Teazer...are you giving us a higher goal to shoot for?

Yep Teazer you were right and I won't tell y'all what the stock 200 sprocket weighs in at. This is the stock 175 35 t vs the pmpsprockets 35t aluminum

the build board continues to have things crossed off. Because of Tim's generosity Lea of Buchanans is putting Zeke in contact with Mr. Buchanan. She was a little baffled when we told her we were running a 19" rear hoop and an 18"
front hoop. She said you mean 19 on the front and 18 on the rear and we said nope.

I wish y'all could have been a fly on the wall when Zeke explained the Fibonacci sequence to Bryan Fuller using his drawing.

Wow the diff of those sprockets is a lot of unsprung weight on a little bike. Nice work on the polishing. Please make sure you are wearing masks and goggles or safety glasses as the powder is bad for your brain and the polish will ruin your retnas in less then 5 years.
