Victory!

For some, this may be all in a day's work. For me, extracting a snapped bolt for the very first time from my triple tree made my Sunday, so much that I felt like posting my happiness in here. :D
edit: once again, thanks Mr.E.

I still get excited when I do this man, and I do it a lot. Some of them can be a real PITA, so it is a well deserved victory!

i hear you on this. I had a broken bolt on my suspension which took a lot of effort to get out, that the elation was indescribable when it finally did.

I think extracting broken bolts id like th motorcycle equivalent of kidney stones :)

every time i snap a bolt i usually call it a day... things are a PITA to take out! im getting better though.

the worst is breaking an extractor inside the stuck bolt.... for that reason i never use extractors anymore.

I have to get broken studs and bolts out of valves on a daily basis, and it never gets easier. Had one today, about an inch of threads stuck 1/2" down in a hole, the stud was 1-5/8" 8 threads per inch. For some reason though, the bigger ones almost seem easier and less stressful than the smaller ones. Good job there brother, you're not the first, and trust me, you won't be the last.
