vintage or new goggles

eesh.. I dont like those at all..

Get a nice set from Halcyon or Stadium...
 
I just ordered some of these Halcyons . They call them the compact goggles so I hope they will fit in my fulmer v2.

Although cool from a historical standpoint, do you really want to have 80+ year old lenses in front of your eyes? I cant get a pair of sunglasses to last longer than a month before there all scratched...

Damn I'm glad I caught this post, I didn't realize there were size issues with a 3/4 helmet...glad I hadn't ordered them. Any one know if the standard Halycon goggles fit with a half helmet (with leather flaps)?

I dont know about the Halycon gogs.. but I had a decent pair of Emgo split lense replicas on a past 3/4 helmet and the straps were completely adjustable and I would swap them between my 3/4 and my 1/2 helmet no problem

From the $120 pair of Halycon gogs that I've seen at the shows, they were also adjustable...

I will definatly keep you guys informed when I get my goggles. It just seemed to me that the regular Halcyons might of been to big. Look at the pic and you will see what im talkin bout. And for 69 bucks including shipping. I couldnt pass it up.
 
there's a special on the halcyon mark 9 goggles, they're $3 cheaper than on ebay same company,
they're not the compact version,

they should all fit, in theory, in 3/4 helmets. isn't that one of the applications they are made for?

i'll be the guinea on them and confirm for everyone else... now i'm second guessing my theory hah!

Well I thought they were remakes of the goggles wore by pilots in WW2 who only wore leather caps not helmets? So it would have been function dictating style instead of size as they wouldnt have to fit in a helmet then. But I dont know, Ive got the compact gogs coming,Barty you get the normal ones and we will compare notes then ;)
 
I have a pair of Halcyon cheapo (read bottom of the line) goggles on my Ebay china special half helmet (with removeable leather ear covers).
The goggles that came with the helmet are "for show only" and made of really cheap plastic.

I replaced them with the Halcyons, and they work fine with the helmet, are comfortable, and seem durable. they are completely adjustable. Only thing I need is that anti fog stuff...
