sold here in Kingston at the Army surplus, abotu $35 i think wth tax but the real thing, design unchanged sicnce 1940 maybe. these look that old, felt, leather, rubber, brass, coated glass for strength, and really really cool and weird. wore them into the bedroom tonight as the wife was going to sleep....didn't impress her. told her i had a mission but would be back by dawn... ;D

Yeah, I wear them around the house ;D and in bed... : :
your point is well taken, thought of that when i bought them, they have a deliberate plastic coating on each side, this is a known thing for protection, I used to have plastic coating on my house glass for break in protection that would stop a .45 slug or take 15 min with a baseball bat to break. (Don't ask)

AND you can take these goggles apart and put polycarbonate in there easily, which i probably will do.
