picking up some Mikuni VM32s with plans to install on a cb/cl350, located in central tx, running pods, the exhaust has newer dunstall style reverse megaphone mufflers on. a pretty common set up, just wondering if anyone here has run the 32s and what a good baseline for jetting would be to pick up for tuning. this would be my first time using the non CVKs on a 350.

VM32s are way to big for a 350 (unless it's a full blown race motor, and even then you could debate it). VM30s will work better, but VM28s are your best bet. Most people go with the 30s because the 28s are flat slides and almost twice the cost (but they are better).

honestly i would much rather have the 30s, some local guys have been running 32s and like them, and i got offered a set with boots and unis for a ridiculous price, i figured i try them and can easily recoup my investment if i didnt end up liking them. i havent bought them yet, figured id ask advice from people with more experience.

I'd be asking your local guys what they're running if they like them that much. I run 32s, but the engine is not even close to stock so would be useless info for your setup. I'd be selling/trading them to buy some VM30s. You'll have more luck getting jetting help for those.

Okay I just opened my VMs for you ;) :

Main: 165
Pilot: 120
Needle Jet: 159 P5
Jet Needle: 6F5
Clip is in the middle

this works with a tuned engine.

Try this for stock:
Main - 170
pilot - 30
jet needle - 6DP17
needle height - 1st clip

If you take VM30 you need:
150 main jet, 3.0 slide, P-0 needle jet, 2.0 air, 50 pilot, and 6F4 needle

damn jan with the info, i ended up passing on them, after doing some searching found theyd be more of a headache than worth it. may be looking for some 30s soon though.
