You should look for carbs from an early Meriden Triumph triple. Rumor is they have the same spacing as the Yamaha parts, and really increase performance.

Any of the early generation Triumph liquid-cooled triples should fit. Or so I've heard. Trident, Speed Triple, et al. If you search the XS triple build threads you'll find more info than I can give you.

Have you checked the Yamaha triples site? A few of the members have done the Triumph swap.
