Welder needed for battery box/rear seat hoop!

Hey everybody, my bike is close to being ride able again, however I dont have the time or resources available to me to finish it. Im stationed in Camp Lejuene, NC, with a parking space and hand tools to work on it...So I was wondering if anyone in the surrounding area (Jacksonville, Wilmington, etc.) could weld in a low profile battery box and rear seat frame for some money? Please get back to me! Here it is now with the seat I want to mount

Would you be able to take some measurements and tell somebody what you want specifically? If so, I have a buddy who does fab work on the side. He is trying to start a business out of it, but right now, it is just him in his garage. He has a CNC plasma cutter, so this can get as custom or basic as you would like. Let me know if you are interested in this option, maybe a budget you can work with, and I could put you in contact with him. You would need to make it a bolt on thought since we don't live close enough to weld it. Anyways...its an option.

It will need welding. You're dealing with cutting the section of frame off behind the shock mounts, replacing it with a seat hoop, and welding in a couple of steel braces across the frame to keep it stiff and provide a mount for the seat studs.

Not a big deal - we have some friendly DO THE TON sponsors selling seat hoops. If you search 'seat hoops' on the site you'll find a few different sources.

For a battery box, you can get a local welder to whip something up and hang it from under the seat, or again, search 'battery box' and I'm sure you'll find some of our members happy to help out.

Search out a local welder - I'm sure some local members will chime in soon enough.
