Also, DONT EVER PAY SHOP PRICES for tires.

Motorcycle Superstore, IronPony Direct, and tons of other sites will sell you tires for a fraction of what a dealer/shop will charge.

Its not that the dealer/shop is trying to screw ya, but they can only order so many sets of tires at a time. Therefore they dont get the bulk rates that the big warehouses do.

Thats not always true mate. The shop I work at offers tires at the same prices as MSS and otehr big online retailers unless you want metzlers or something like that. If you're military it's actually cheaper to get them from us versus MSS or other large online retailers. Bottom line do some research on pricing a local place could be a good deal for you and it will keep their business alive so they can serve you more in the future.

Nice work man. I almost bought a Buell last week out of the same frustration of never being able to ride and not trusting the thing enough to go on a trip. But I think I've decided to build a Harley over the winter :O
