What exhaust headers will fit a CB500 TWIN ?

Need some help here ... Trying to find a nice two into one system......or anything but stock... for my 75 CB500T .. what headers will fit a cb500t ........ was told 450 twins... but what years ? '68 to '74 ? Also told cb750 pipes would fit.... what years ? Any help is GREATLY appreciated.

Any exhaust for a cb/cl450k 66-74 or cb500t will fit. I think the 450 exhaust mounts may have to be modified for the 500. But that shouldn't be a deal breaker if you find what you are looking for. I don't know how you would get cb750 pipes on a 2 cyl. bike.


I don't know if you are looking for new exhaust or used. But I couldn't find any one who makes an off the shelf new exhaust for these bikes. There are people who will make you custom exhaust.

Thanks for the reply Lingo. I was thinking just two of the header pipes from 750. Have to look around for some nice pipes from a 450. Thanks again.

They are out there. You just have to be vigilant about looking for them.

I run cb450 pipes and reverse mega phones on my 500t sounds good and no mods needs to put them on. I didt like the cross over my 500t had plus it was plugged up

As a side note, make sure they fit the 66-74 450s and not the ones built in the 80's. completely different bikes.
