Trying to decide between 1.9" or 2.5" and I'm not sure which would be better. I plan on running both a speedo and tach on my 750. If you could include pics of your setup that would be awesome. Thanks!
Back when I first build the red bike, I fabricated a custom bucket and mount for my huge 4" stock tachometer. I mounted it front and center with a home brew face plate. I had a little gps I clipped on the bar for a speed-o. When the GPS took a sh*t, I added a little 1.9" speedo . I'm old and wear trifocals but I can see the tiny speed-o just fine. Next to the monster tach, it just looks like a little oil pressure gauge or something. Here are the pics from when I first installed the added speed-o:
None, haven't had a gauge on my street bike since 2005, but will be getting a small white faced speedometer in the next couple months. Project 1963 Honda uses a stock "diving mask" bucket and speedometer.
