What tank sealers work for you?

There are lots of options out there, and yes I did a search from the past, but I figured I would ask what luck people are having today. What's your favorite and why. Also interested in how long your favorite product has lasted. I really would like to do this 1 time and have years of no trouble despite fuels obvious shortcomings. I am repeatedly cleaning the CB's carbs of fine rust - not fun. I have a CB900C and an XS11 with the huge 1981 only Venturer tank (5.8 gallons) to do right now so these are bigger tanks...Thanks!

Only lined my tank mid last season so can't speak for longevity, but I used Caswell's Dragons Blood liner and it was great. Mixed well, lined well, adhered well. Can definitely recommend. All my research indicated it lasts for years, so should hold up just fine.

There is no need! It's a bandaid that will come off eventually. Use vinegar for 3 days, every 12 hours shake a bunch of screws\ bolts in it. Dump out. Then blow dry and use wd40.

I gave that a try this summer. I stripped the carbs down, gave them a full cleaning. Then Vinegar for a few days with lots of shaking with a small chain inside, and a ton of fine rust came out. Ran the hose through it for a whole day, blew dry, did the WD, looked like new and by October the bowls had rust grit in them again and she was running poorly. I may try it again, but add a see through micro fuel filter inline so I can watch whats happening.

I'm not sure those fuel filters will keep out the finest rust particles. The bigger stuff sure but the really fine stuff will get through. Happened to me too - no matter how well I cleaned the tank the carb bowls kept getting rust in them. At that point I went with the liner.
