What were the stock colors?

I like to have the bike completely built in my head and a complete list (or as complete as possible) before I start any actual work. I find that this helps prevent any wasted time in the garage wondering what I should do next. So, here is my question... what were the stock colors offered on all these old Hondas? My bike is a CL360 so it would be nice to stick with a stock CL360 color, but please post the colors of other models as well. With the picture please post the year and model of the bike.

Is there a sight that has a picture of the actual colors? The codes will be nice for when I order paint, but I would like to know what it actually looks like first.

Just do an image search for the colors. There wasnt that many used in the 70s. Like I said, it depends on the year and the model (cb or cl) as they changed them up every so often. They used red, gold, green, blue... On other models they used brown, yellow, orange, etc... Some were metallic, some just gloss. Decals were different. Your best bet is to just start looking for pics of different models and years and go from there.

I have been doing image searches on google but it's taking forever. I just figured if people had pictures saved and knew the model and year of the bike it would help me out. I don't care much if the color was stock on a CL360 (since that's what I have), I'm just looking for a stock color since it will make future touch ups a lot easier then having to try and match a custom color. Originally I was thinking of going with orange but it seems that a lot of bikes are orange. I don't want something that will just blend in at a show. I'm looking for something a little differnt. Yeah, it's stock paint so it will be everywhere out there, but I guess I'm also wondering which of the stock colors are less common.

the brown metallic is probobly one of the rarest. I kind dig it but its not for everyone. That and the bright yellow from the Cb400's...
