Plus you are well within your rights to drink twice as much 'cause it's got less alcohol!

Tonight I will be drinking the only beer I can stand (I am allergic to beer...) Free beer! lol The tattoo shop I go to is throwing a big grand re-opening party tonight. Lots of prizes and food at the shop, then at 8 it is to the bar for beer and more fun.

heaven hill, two cubes.

smoking a liga privada no. 9 with it. great smoke, not a bad pairing. had a great smoke last night, gatta dig through my pockets for the label to remember what it was, laugh.

Maclay's, a "traditional pale ale". Sleeman's bottom feeder brewski. A little yeasty, but all in all, not a bad economy beer. Will probably have a glass of Spinelli (a modest red wine that gets great revues in it's price class) with my bigass burgers that I'll start making up shortly. Been a slow week, sales-wise - will break out the Heineken and Jack D after a more stellar week.
Have a good one DTT bros and sisters.
Pat Cowan,
Vintage Motorcycle Fiberglass.

Miller Lite, 16oz aluminum bottles. And a lot of them.

It's not great beer. I probably wouldn't even call it "good" beer, most days. But it is beer. And a lot of it. And cold.

Smithwicke's would have been a better pairing with fresh from-scratch homemade pizza, but I'm not complaining. Especially after which point I lost count.

Murphy's stout served with 13-15oz ny strips and baked potatoes was the flavor of the evening last night. Then a bowl of blend 174 pipe tobacco with a double of hendersen's aquavit. Good Sunday...

^^^ way to go, mr. e!

car bombs, guinness and a drew estate natural. training for st pats, laugh.

Way to go dp9! I had a drew estate once, liked it too. Im guessing you are into cigars at least a little? I just bought a humidor and some rum runners for my baby's birth within a day or two. Trying to get back into cigars after about 10 years without so im learning from scratch-not that I ever knew much to begin with, just a few walks stout key west cigar shops is all. More of a pipe guy myself :)

I really enjoyed Peterson's DeLuxe Blend. I took about the last third of the can and mixed in what was previously my all-time favorite, the dregs from the bottom of a baggie of Rum & Maple from Tobacco Exotica in Daytona Beach Shores, Florida.

This mixture was briefly forgotten about and ended up aging in my humidor for about six months.

I discovered it this morning and had a bowl.
It is now my favorite tobacco product ever.

Sounds good. Rum blends are among my favorites. I didn't mean to hijack the thread with smoke talk, but I do recall a pipe/cigar thread around here from a year or two ago. Maybe we should blow the dust off it and see what's going on with all us tobacco heads?

I had hot chocolate with rum in it a few nights ago. I'm not a big fan of rum, but I found this to be quite nice.

Rum goes great with hot chocolate for sure. I like mixing a shot of Bailey's irish cream in my espresso and hot chocolate in the winter time. Perfect after supper drink on the weekends! And for the record: Baileys goes great in a milkshake too...

For sure. The Mrs and I make Bailey's milkshakes come summer time. A bit of vanilla ice cream, Bailey's, a couple of ice cubes, and a good whack of chocolate syrup....

Damn... when's it gonna get hot and sunny? Stupid February...

yeah. catbird and i filled up a couple pages in this thread with cigar talk :D . congrats on the kid! be sure to read up on proper humidor prep. one of my favorite cigars comes from key west. the shop is at 310 Duval St, Key West, FL. 33040 in a little open air strip of shops with artists and such. i highly recommend the barber pole in any size. this is the website: http://www.cigars-tobacco-shopping.com

I assume a "barber pole" would be a blended wrapper of either dark and light natural, or natural and maduro?

Hey cool, I know the shop you are talking about! My favorite shop tho was a little stall about halfway back the other direction on dual, on the left. Don't recall the name, just that it was close to a seafood joint, dirty Harry's bar, and bogarts-the best damn bar on the island. Last time I was there you could still smoke inside too, no idea what its like now tho. The cigar shop was run by an old cuban guy with a temper. He sold a brand that had a palm tree on the ring, don't recall the brand, but I loved it. Went great with rum, beer, anything. Good times from my earlier days...

yup. these are wrapped in a light connecticut and then a dark habano spiraling up the length. the ones at this shop look similar to this:
