What's your dream donor bike?

Just for the sake of it I went to try and find a Vincent for sale. Not only could I not find one, I could not find a trace of a transaction for one. Where are people buying these - they are obviously a rare bird

There is always a couple Vincents for sale in Walnecks...

Bradsbikes who advertises on there regularly has this listed now.
1953 Vincent Rapide Series C - Excellent example that needs nothing, all records - $45,000

I would LOVE to build a cafe using one of the new KTM super enduros with the VTwin motor. Cant remember the model off the top of my head though...

It would take a sack of nuts, but I'd bet that would be a better investment than anything you can find in the stock market. More fun too...

Now then ...I've got FAR too many projects on the go, AND only one small lock up garage, but I AM tempted. Yep - under $150 !!!!!!!!

Ohhh . They look similar, except for that vincents engine is super elegant .. I think those two bikes take the cake!

Apart from being 'high cam' design and being painted black, they are nothing alike
Velocette is vertical single cylinder 500 and Vincent is 1000cc V-twin

Man BC! I used to refer to M20s as boat anchors but that looks like it has been used as one!!!! Even if the decimal point was moved one to the left it would still be more than its worth!!

My dream donor bike has been my cb750 circa 74.It's not the real "dream bike" of many people but it was given to me with the hopes of making it a running machine again. It got me into fascinating on a real cafe racer(I know its not really an english type cafe bike)I have almost 14 months and a couple grand into just getting her back up again.Just the thought that I almost have her back up again makes me happy, can't wait to ride her.Unfortunately the 25+ yrs she sat rotting has made getting her up labor intensive, but gosh she will soon be a joy(can't wait)

Thanks for sharing Hooiser .. I love that engine ... The cylinders look to be at a 45* angle, and the way the pipes come out the sides , makes me want to scramble some eggs right on them.. You dont happen to know how many where made in to production?
