Been Around the Block
So looking at a whole lot of leather gloves, and wanted to hear what you guys like the best. Please either show pics, paste links, or just talk about what you love or want!

been looking for white leather gloves. simple styling. anyone know where?

i ride in work gloves or i have these deerskin gloves with a liner, so comfy!

For the warmer weather I've got a pair of Dainese Sickle gloves. Perf leather with a plastic knuckle guard. They fit my small hands quite nicely. However, I'm probably going to pick up a simple pair of welding gloves with a bit of a gauntlet and add a velcro closure to have another option.

Here's a link to the Daineses

And the welding gloves I'll probably scoop up

You can't beat the protection of a full length leather gauntlet style glove with carbon fiber knuckles. I've got a set of these and I love them: http://www.motorcycle-superstore.com/14/67/903/24674/ITEM/Alpinestars-SP-1-Gloves---2012.aspx

I bought the all black ones because they're the least sportsbike-y.

I picked up a pair of Icon Rimfire gloves last year:

Great warm-weather gloves and it's silly fun to punch the corners of things with the 3DO armor gel.

I rock a pair of discount rack tourmaster deerskin gloves. Best gloves I've ever owned. And also why you shouldn't wear wear white gloves on a vintage bike.

I've been wearing the same gloves for a few years now - ICON Pursuit. I've worn them in the rain, in the heat, and I've crashed in them. Still wear them. Might buy a new pair this year - need some long gauntlets to wear with my Vanson leathers, but want Vanson gloves for that to complete the kit. Just need to find a place to try some on for size.

This is by far the best glove I've ever used. Its by the company "Reusch", I got them while in Germany. They have tons of protection on both the top and bottom of your hand, yet it doesn't interfere with movement or dexterity. Full gauntlet, breathable, and I can fit a cotton glove liner inside it for those colder days. Not to mention they look badass. Gloves are definitely one of those thing where you get what you pay for.

Deer skin w/ a gauntlet for cold weather riding, finger less deer skin for hot weather riding.

I bought my favorite pair long ago from motorcyclegear.com (used to be newenough.com) Still have them, still wear them. Every year I say I'm going to get a new pair, but i never do. I can't remember the name, so all i can say is go w/gauntlet, and dont go small, maybe a size up if anything

I wear the same glove but the perforated version.

Had so many pairs of gloves I've lost count. I always go for the full gauntlet style with protective knuckles. The worst, shortest lived gloves I've owned have been Alpinestars. Tried different models too. Hard to believe but they've always worn out/fallen apart way too fast. The best pair of gloves I've ever owned have been Texport. Long lasting, no fade, tough gloves. The real Texports are hard to find unless you find them on closeout. I believe they've been bought out by Fulmer. I've seen them since and I'm not impressed.

I wear a pair of Corazzo "Enzo" gloves. Excellent quality. I got a new pair to replace my old ones, which survived my last "dismount" surprisingly we'll considering my rear wheel came off at 60 mph

Unlined elk hide gauntlets in the summer. Fur or synthetic lined elk or deer hide gauntlets in the winter. I make my living with my hands, so no more fingerless summer gloves.

Check the military surplus sites for German or Russian winter riding gloves/mittens. Russian build quality is rather industrial, but they work great. German, Swedish, Norwegian, Finnish etc have a nicer look and feel, but cost a bit more.

Money is far too scarce at my house to be a brand whore.

Since "other" is a catagory- have a pair of Olympia gel and a pair of Tourmaster Drytex. Really like the TMs, going on the third season for those, the Olympia's usually only last 2 full seasons before showing a lot of wear on the thumb-index finger where the ride on the inside of the grip. For cold weather riding have a pair of very plain leather gauntlets of an obscure brand that eludes me now. water proof barrier w/gore tex insulation. No buckles/snaps/velcro- plain old black pull ons.

I actually had the opposite experience as far as sizing went. I went with a medium in my first pair of gloves (AGV Sport Monzas) and while they fit perfect at first, as the leather broke in, they loosened up a bit, to the point where it's a bit uncomfortable. I went on the smaller side with the Daineses and while they were tight at first, they loosened up enough to where the fit is spot on now. Everyone has different experiences though, but I just wanted to throw that out there.

Honestly now my favorites are my Held gloves, the high end Held's, comfy and extreme protection. Got lucky and found a pair on the cheap.

Don't count the Goose out til you see the box going in the ground.
