Where the F#$K have your hands been?!

I wish I still had the pics of when I put 3 6" nails through my hand at work a couple years ago... Lost one finger nail, and a bunch of stitches. That SUCKED. My hands stay pretty clean most of the time at work now with how much time I spend driving instead of out on job sites. And than there is my hand washing obsession. Lots of good scars though.

well, my hands are sparkly clean today, spent 2 hours with my hands in a hydrogen peroxide/baking soda/dish soap mixture, followed by shampoo shampoo shampoo
... last night my pup learned not to chase the black and white squirrel....

Guaranteed degreaser for you wrenchmonkeys: Make a little puddle of Dawn dishwasing soap in one hand, then dump a teaspoon of sugar in it. Work up a lather and scrub the heck out of your hands. Most times my hands come completely clean with only one washing, and my skin feels fantastic after it. No irritation or lingering chemical smell and no greasy residue.

we have this hand cleaner at work that is made out of some soap and crushed almond shells... amazingly good stuff... smells good, all natural, and gets out all the nitty gritty.

i always forget to get a picture of my dirty hands. its pretty bad.

best stuff in the world is orange go jo or anything with pumice in it.

id show where my hands have been but you would see more pink then black. im just joking, kinda

Dirty cut hands. I manage to do that most everyday. I work in plant maintenance so its part of the job. I usually come home filthy despite my best efforts to stay clean. I can only put it down to the fact that some guys are chick magnets and I'm a dirt magnet. I was making a battery platform today and managed to stick a corner of it into my finger. No stitches just tape it tightly to stop the bleeding and get on eith finishing the platform. Tomorrow in work I have to cut up a 12' rolling ladder and scrap it. So by the time I get home I should look pretty much like Pigpen (peanuts).

My hands were never clean until I found this stuff

Now to wash with anything else is just a waste of time.

BEEN THERE DONE THAT!!!!!!!!TWICE. That shit isn't funny, and it always happens late at night! We now keep the skunk stink emergency supplies on hand, and in the cupboard, as I really don't think my dog has learned his lesson about the little black kitty with the racing stripes! You should use vinegar instead of peroxide though, as I have read the peroxide can lighten the color of the dog. Dawn dish soap works great, and isn't harmful to your dog either. My buddy's dog got hit, and all he had on hand was Simple Green! He said it worked great!!! I sure as hell wouldn't do it though!

Hoof, I'm right there with you! In the shop every day I'm surrounded by all this glorious mess and no matter what lengths I take I still end up looking like a pipe fitter at the end of the day. If I wear coveralls it'll be used motoroil....seeps right thru just about anything. if I go with the apron....it's polisher muck&fluff.....

I gave up trying to be fancy when I gave up the business suit (best day of my friggin' life!)

Amen. I have days where Im clean as a whistle after work. I have more days where Im covered in more shit than anyone should ever have on em'. One day a few months ago i was covered in mud, gear oil, grease, fibreglass, sawdust, and 3 different color paints. I had to take my pants off to drive home. Threw em' in the back of the truck b/c they were so bad. Ended up just pitchin em'.

My hands have been inside a new headlight bucket!

The impressive thing about this picture is how unimpressive it is. I really lucked out.

So we had a big party at our house Saturday. BBQ all afternoon followed by general drinking mayhem inside when it started raining around 8. About 1AM, after several rounds of tequila shots and a whiskey tasting, tornado sirens went off. Being from Kansas, I rushed outside to see the storm ;), but living in Michigan means you can never actually see the sky, too many damned trees ::).

Now being shitfaced, it seemed to me like the most logical thing to do was to find a ladder and get on top of the house 8). So I put a ladder up to the roof and started climbing :-\. In the pouring rain. And the wind. Cross-eyed drunk.

As I reached the top and started wondering how exactly I would ever get down, a big gust of wind (tornado warning and all that) smacked me, I reached for ladder and got a handful of flashing, which cut these gashes in my hand, and I fell backward onto the deck.

So yeah, the amazing thing about my hands is that those little cuts are the only thing going on right now.
