Which Alu Rims in a CB750 ?

Tetter

CB500F Café / CB750 K6 / Kawasaki Z750
Hi Guys,

I'm working on a CB750, I want to turn into a "classic" Café
Thinking of Standard Tank, sidecovers, Clubmans, Guiliari race seat, Alu fenders, alu rims.

Searching for the rims I found these on E-bay ( italy )
http://www.ebay.nl/itm/COPPIA-CERCHI-ALLUMINIO-ALUMINUM-RIM-Honda-CB750-PROFILO-TIPO-BORRANI-RECORD-/221145236037?pt=Ricambi_e_Accessori_Moto&hash=item337d488245

They recommend 18"x 2,50 rear, and 19"x 2,50 front.
Original is mounted 18"x 2,15 and 19"x 1,85 if i'm correct.

For the rear i would think 2,5 could be ok, but for the front ? isn't that too wide ?

I do think it would look very cool though..... so which tyres should then be used ?
Not the "standard" 4R18 and 3,25R19 I would guess ?

Or should I go for 2x 18"x2,50 ? and are there spokes for that ?

this is the idea:

But with these short fenders and rims like these:

The sizes they recommend on that Ebay site seems a bit off the mark to me.With slightly wider than stock rims I would run a 100/90 front tire with a 120/80 rear.So I'd say a 2.75 rear rim and a 2.15 on the front.A 2.50 rim on the front seems too wide to me.A 2.50 on the rear would be good with a 110/90 on it.Forget running a rear as big as a 130:you don't need it and the bike will steer better with the smaller tire sizes.

I was thinking 2,50X18 rear and 2,15X19 front.
Not sure about tyres though.

Checking the internet it seems Honda is using the "standard" 3.25R19 on a 2,15R19 rim on the CX500, and the 4.00R18 on an 2,50R18 rim on a Cb750 Bol D'or. While a dutch CB four expert tells me a 100 will not fit the 2,15 front rim.......
As I think she will track best on standard size, I would like to use these, or are the new sizes tyres better?
Like the 110/90R19 and 120/90R18 ?

Problem solved, as the company does not have 2,15X19.
I have ordered the "standard" 1,85X19 front rim.
On the rear I will use the 2,50 R18
