Who dat in tha dirty? (our roll call)

Some of us are going to set up in the swap meet, but I don't know about an official tent or anything. That would be a good question for the barber thread. There are going to be a shit load of us there though so I'm sure there will be a get together or something.

Name: Ronnie R.

Age: 24

Location: Slidell, LA

Occupation: 3rd Mate on Offshore supply vessel for Otto Candies

Bikes: Currently working on a 74' Honda CB350f, looking to cafe' it.

General: Well, I love the water and like working with my hands on mechanical thing. I have grown up around a family owned marina/boatyard so I'm a jack of all trades. I own my own commercial shrimp boat so working on engines is a common thing for me.. Haha!

Damn, Louisiana's blowin' up 'round here lately!

Welcome guys.

Anyone up for a Meet and Greet somewhere/sometime?

It's blowing up like the rain right now! At least there are a few other non harley riders in Louisiana. My dad and I were talking last week about the absence of older bikes around here. We don't see them that often anymore. Heck, even Clancys doesn't have to many bikes from the 70's on back.
I'd be up for a run down river road when my bike is complete but that won't be for a few months. I'm trying to do it right and not end up with a backyard hack job.

Yea, I have a few months too.. I work a month on month off so it's hard for me to do tinkering when I'm offshore. I will be better off this time cause I know what to do(ie. measure EVERYTHING and get a good plan of what I need to get and get it done while also knowing what to order while I'm offshore). But when it's done I will be down to go get the tires warm..

Yea, I think this weekend is out  :p

I tried getting a Vintage Bike Night rolling but it seemed that it was just me that would show up. Not that it was all that bad... it was at Hooters. And, well, any excuse to go to Hooters... ;D

Maybe I'll try to organize a NOLA Gathering for next spring ;)

yea Ronnie, When I worked 7 and 7 I had alot of time to do stuff when I was off. Actually I was building Guitars at the time and it hasn't been the same since a 40hour week job.Tough to get at it after work and sometimes it's hard to finish a big project in one weekend with a family. That's why I set a goal of getting my bike back on the road by April. If I was still working offshore I'd cut that time in half!

I came across this Dirty South SHEEEEOT and i was wondering to myself How in the HEll did i miss this DDT (thats poison) i mean DTT, which i do everyday on the way to work, and then i remembered the vacations in the southwest asian deserts ive been living in for it seems a decade or so. sorry im add but very good at managing it.
But better late than never right.
So the roll call formalities:
Name : Andrew
Occupation: Asshole extraordinaire caused by 22 years in the Army blowing the heads off todays unfortunate bad guys (stress the word TODAYs, tomorrow will be someone else)
Location: NAshville, Tennessee when on this continent
Bikes: 1969 Triumph Bonneville T120 , sold this bike to buy a 1969 Mach 1 which is down in the garage - 550hp 408 Stroker Dynamic C4, but thats info for another site, back to bikes: 2004 Ducati S4R Monster that i practically stole from a young lady that paid $15500 for it and sold to me w 2000 miles on it for $5000 WHAT true. Just finished a 1980 Kawasaki KZ650F cafe racer rode it for a month after finished and sold it to start the next 1978 Kawasaki KZ650B which will start coming apart next month. Currently working on a 1971 Kawasaki F8 Enduro for some reason, probably sell that too. Dont think 250 Enduros make such good caffs but someone should do one maybe. And then there is a 1965 Honda Dream sitting in the shed as well and im not sure what the hell im going to do with that thing. Looking at a 1975 Cb550 at the moment in my area but I think i want to build a Norton or Trumpet if i can convince anyone that they are NOT covered in GOLD. People seem to be very proud of their junk these days.

Other general information: Im looking to start up a MC in the Nashville Area that is for any bikes accept harleys and maybe probably no freaking Squid either. But seriously folks, a Ton Up club is on Order in the Nashville Area so are there any takers?

Good to meet all of you even as impersonal as a blog is.

Cheers
