I remember seeing when it came out. Some years later I was working in Dublin with a guy from New York by the name of George Baitson. He said he was one of the extras in the church scene. Can't remember much more than that except "Don't fuck with the Wongs".
I remember seeing The Wanderers, The Warriors, and Lords of Flatbush... but don't remember alot about them. I was about 10 when they came out and just wasn't into it I guess.
I think when one's talking about period films, American Graffiti stands out as the finest example. The others were all B movies. No matter what is on TV, if AG is running, I'm watching it!
I liked American Graffitti. Just never stuck, never ended up watching it over and over. Tho It is the gold standard.
Love Two Lane BlackTop (little bit earlier in release), prob my fav of all these sorts of movies
Wanderers is awsome but your right the ending goes a little flat. But its got some wicked scenes all the way through. Like the big brawl on the football field. Awsome.
Warriors was better than i expected. def want to rewatch it.
And I gatta check out lords of flatbush, never heard of it
Lords of Flatbush stared Stallone, Henry Winkler, Perry King, and another dude whose name I don't remember. I always thought that if the Lords all had bikes, it would've been a great movie! Ha! Unfortunately, only Perry King's character owned a H-D.
