As he put it, You can never go wrong with Lego :D

I still love Lego! I also think i have a lot of my Lego's from years ago still all together somewhere at my parents house lol

Justifying playing with Lego again is one of the cooler parts of having a 2-year old.

Ha, my son got that kit for his 8th and we built the Cafe together, very cool and working rear suspension!

Thats a few grand invested right there. Lego's are spensive but I pay as it is the one toy that my son seems to never stop playing with and his kids will inherit, he inherited all my legos, and the collection grows. He is currently saving for one of the massive kits again.

I grew up with Legos. Still love them to this day. Even helped a friend's daughter last night fix "her RV"...managed to do it without instructions too! lol

One thing that bothers me about legos (other than the price), is that it used to be hard to find "kits" all we had were "sets" where you could build basicly anything. They came in large bags and boxes (I still have 2 of my larger tool box types). They helped foster creativity. Now they are all "kits" that show you what to build.

That being said... I just might have to go find one of those bike kits! haha

I agree about the kits. Kind of takes some of the creativity out of it. But it also gives the great ideas to build on. Usually my kids build the kit and after awhile it gets broken and modded and changed into something else. Legos are the only thing both my son and daughter like to do together. They have stated using their cameras to make stop motion videos. They are hilarious and very creative.

END OF LINE

Whenever I got the kits I always built what it was and then started modifying it into my own creation. Hmmm, sounds familiar.

I'm 54 years old, have about 50+ Hotwheels in my office, and every day I get on the floor with a one year old girl and play with my cars. She loves it, and I get a pretty good giggle out of it. Her favorite is my Don Prudhomme funny car, mine is my Thunderbolt. Right now I'm trying to find an early Drag pac Track. Right now she has the giant Lego's, hopefully soon we'll graduate to a proper set...
