Why no sr 400 or sr 500's around

Anyone know where i can find a running sr 4 or 500? Doesn't seem to be that many for sale. Also, if anyone has any leads on one that could be had for a reasonable amount, please let me know.

Yamaha recently made the SR400 available for Europe. If it sells well there then perhaps they will consider bringing it to North America.

They are sweet bikes an everyone wants to hang on to them

I'd buy that new SR400 in a heartbeat. Don't like the front disc, or the fact it is fuel infested, but I am getting a bit tired of dealing with CV carbs... and can always retrofit a front drum.

That is a lot nicer than the new liquid cooled 500/750 Harley V twins. First gen Shadow engines come back from the grave to entice another generation of suckers into buying bad technology...
