i am looking at an aftermarket tach that has a 1:4 ratio. i don't want to use the factory gauges anymore. i am not sure if this is the correct ratio. if this isn't right, does anyone know of a gauge that will work? thanks guys.
The easiest way to check the ratio on the tach is to rotate the crank by hand while watching the end of the cable.
There was a thread by Hurley dealing with speedo/tach ratios with a lot of good info in there. Could also plug "tach ratio" into the search button above.
