Just to clarify this is an ask not a tutorial. I am re-wiring my bike and have some confusion about what to connect and what not to. For example: The diagram shows the 2 orange wires for the turn signal not intersecting. But I do not understand how the system works if they don't. Also, how do I tell when a conector joins all the wires together and when they dont.
you only have one turn signal indicator, so when you put on the left signal a bulb in your dash blinks, when you put on the other turn signal the same light blinks, hence why its connected to the signal switch and then the grey wire runs to the turn signal relay
Does the connector imply that all the wires join together? For example: when you have 2 black wires go into a connector and 2 black come out of it. Do all 4 wires connect to each other?
Not a very clear diagram for me. Some rectangles seem to act like distribution blocks and some don't.
For example, if you see the rectifier there is no way the black rectangle is joining all the wires together. But on the blue wires for the turn signal you would say they are joined.
The orange wires for the indicator should have a dot where they cross over.
Lemme guess, that is the clymer? IF it is TOSS THAT THING IN THE GARBAGE. Trust me. There are so many holes and wrong information that it will get you into more trouble than not having it will.
Frogman - It is the Clymer manual! Thanks for the suggestions.
Gald I'm not the only one confused by this. This diagram is really unclear about when a connector joins the wires or not and some these just seem wrong.
I really appreciate all the help.
Sidenote: I should really start a build thread. My bike looks so different from my profile pic.
I noticed some of these other manuals do not explicitly state when a connector joins all the wire and when it doesn't. Obviously if the wires are different colors then not but if they are the same color should I be connecting the wires?
Maybe someone can look at these diagrams and then their bike to give a conclusive answer.
