WTB: Suzuki gs450 tank or gsx250 tank

title says it. looking to buy a gs450 tank or a gsx250 tank that has the knee dents. condition doens't matter since I will be repainting it anyways. I can also do metal work so if you have one with holes or dents in it please let me know. thanks for looking.

I have the tank you're looking for, off a near-complete 1982 GS450 (E) that I've got kicking around. I may sell the entire bike to a friend, but if he's not interested, I'll be stripping it for art supplies (see my website link in sig) and parting out the rest. I agree, this tank is killer.

I purchased a gs450e just for the general look, it makes a great little cafe racer stock, but with some mods and customization they really are such cool little 'around the town' cafe racers. If you have no luck finding a tank, you could always attempt denting in a different model gs450 tank or tank with similar mountings. I have done it before with almost no experience. I used a rubber mallet, rounded off one of the sides and very carefully dented the tank in. I don't have photos anymore but if your into metal work and you dont mind putting the time in, that could be a cheaper option. ..or just fun.

after my desing portion of my build i have decided to stick with the original tank for now. More cost effective and i like the idea of sticking with the tank designed for the bike. My other thought was going with a cb 750ss tank but i cant seem to find one. thanks for the reply though.
