WTH is this?

Howdy,

I'm in the process of rebuilding the carbs on my CB350F project and I ran across this....sorry for the crappy pic, but I hope someone can tell me....

Why would they drill two holes in the drain plug of each float bowl?

I think it's the actual drain holes. That way you can drain some gas slowly before removing the bolt all together.
 
There's usually just one hole in the drain plug bolt. Maybe PO was impatient and drilled another hole.
 
OK, lets try this one. BTW, this is the drain plug on the CB350F's carbs

It's so you can drain the bowls at the end of riding season without removing the whole bowl or the whole screw.
 
My CB360 754A carbs have 2 holes in the drain screw. It's normal....
 
The 'o' ring covers one, I guess they changed spec at some time but didn't tell the robot ;D
