well it's long over due, so here's the skinny got the bike for free from some cool cat. Also picked up a parts bike (complete running no title) for 150$ great deal huh? as of yesterday got the tail light snd seat mount taken care of I'll try to get some mock up picks on later. I guess my idea for the bike was to use mostly stock parts to give it some sort of factory look plus i'm working with a real low budget. This bike has made me so frugal, my rear frame hoop is actually part of an old seat frame for a vw sand rail.
as for my to do list; blast the frame and paint it, blast and paint the wheels, reassemble and re-wire

Is that a white boxer? We might be separated twins. My bikes an xs11 and I have a white boxer too. weird.

boxer shep mix, he's a big baby jumps into my arms like scooby doo.
those aren't clubmans and if you stare long enough you'll realize those are to narrow to fit around the upper triple. I looked at clubmans but it just seemed like everyone else and their brother have them so I decided to make my own out of the stock bars. I made sure I left room between the bars and the tank so could keep my hands on the bars. The bars the p.o. put on the parts bike left some real nice dent in the tank.
Oh I'll try to post some pics of the last bike I did later, it's a shovelhead

Glad to see another XS11.. Check out my thread, they are kind of hard bikes to get just right, but they are awesome once you do. Plenty of power and tourque. Get a Kerker 4-1 and let the baffle "Fall out" they sound amazing through the RPM range

yup i love my kerker 4-1, been doing some rust/trailer loading repairs to it. I was thinking bout cutting it down and adding one of those weld on 4" supertrapp end cap disc mufflers plus maybe and open end disc, cause I likey noise. Today sucks though woke up and started puking my brains out so I don't think I'm gonna do a whole lot today. Damn canned green beans were tasting real funky last night

yea i am too fell in love with the xs1100. im saving up to get a chain drive from xschop on the xs11.com site. i might be getting away from the bobber look and go with the cafe... idk yet. good looking 11 so far. hope u get better.

I had an XS11 but sold it. I was on my way to installing a set of USD Yamaha R1 forks. If you're (or anyone) interested I have the main ingredient, the R1 triple clamps with an XS 11 stem pressed in. They will bolt right up to the XS head tube. The way I did it was remove the stem from the XS triple, spray weld the stem and have it centerless ground to spec then press it into the lower aluminum R1 triple. Now you've got great forks, super brakes, good looks and much lighter weight. I ruptured a disc in my back and I couldn't handle the weight of the big XS any more

I'd be interested in that triple tree. Sorry to hear about your back tho.

Can't get the hang of the picture thing. If you want a picture of triple clamps email me at gwestendor@aol.com
