I have a 1981 XS650 for sale. It's rough around the edges but runs, starts first or second kick, electric start works but doesn't engage every time, so it would need some attention. Carbs don't leak, has a 2 into 1 header, no muffler on it. Has most of a gasket set, I just used the side cover and exhaust gaskets, the rest are in the package.
It needed a shift shaft when I got it which is why I bought the gaskets. That has been repaired, and while it was apart I improved the clutch basket bolts. I machined aluminum bushings so that allen bolts could be used instead of the stock screwdriver bolts.
To put it back on the road in stock form it would need tires, battery, front turn signals, tail light, brakes looked at, etc. but I am posting it here of course because it is a perfect candidate to modify.
The bike has a title signed by the previous owner but not dated. Price is $800
