Well a .015 base gasket would get me between .035 and .040. I have some .015 material so that's easily doable. I'd rather err towards the higher side and lose a little power than have to tear the engine down again.
So finally installing parts I ordered almost a year ago. High ratio primary gears from Ivan Hoey, and an inner clutch basket that I skimmed a few though off of to get running true. It's running alto friction disks to have an 8 plate clutch.
Waiting on paint to dry to install the cylinders. I hated to cover up the vapor blasted aluminum but wanted to keep the black cylinders for the look.
Top enf is on with cam timed. Soon it'll go in the frame. It'll be interesting to see the difference between a 650 and 700. And the efi will really show me the fueling differences between them with data logs.
