XS750 cafe racer

I have a big carb probem at the moment.
the bike is nearly finnished but the carbs I have ( 6 sets ) are no good.
is there anyone who has a spare set of mikuni mk2 for my triple or even a set of carbs for the hinkley triumph triples, if they are in working order I would love t know and buy a set.

I've had great success rebulding and jetting Mikuni BS34's. I have a bucnh of jets and other parts let me know if I can help.

sorted:!:
bike is running.
thanks to graham & julian and all you especialy 1t5paul and a good triple friend in the states I have to anounce that TTW has been today on the road for the first time.
I did 0.2 of a mile to see if everything is working.

Glad you got those carbs sorted out.
It sounds great! I'm very impressed.

What was the issue?

2 of the pilot screws were brocken of, and then to set the carbs up for that totaly empty exhaust.

Good build, good sound. Why has it only got one front disc?A slab type fork brace would make it handle far better and brake with less flex in the forks with the single disc.It sounds like some old Bugatti,Ferrari type thing.

I find it looks better with only 1 front disk, old bikes had drums and then only 1 front disk.
I like the look and the stopping power is ok since the bike is nearly 50kg lighter than the original.

here is the top yoke and clock:
all made on my lathe and pollished.

Very nice build!

Since I´m doing some similar work on a xs750, I was wondering from which bike you got the wheels? What mods where you forced to do?

Hey schulmpf, just found this thread and your XS is awesome! Love that exhaust! You've done an excellent job on her, great result :D

What mods where you forced to do?

Probably learn Japanese, about the only place to get them these days. ;D

looks great schlumpf!
any more info on the primary chain tensioner?

I would love to know how you made that seat. What cowl did you use? Awesome build.

ok,that seat, I took the original 2D seat, cut it shorter to fit how I liked it, then 'cause I was left with most of the rear seat I sliced it longways to make it narrower. after that a friend of mine upolstered it.

everything is original:
tank:2D
seat:2D
tail piece:2D
side panel : SE
