xv750 fork upgrade

Haven't seen anything extensive posted on this, aside from a really good ggeometry post. But as the title says I want to upgrade to a modern front end. Any tips for this, best forks to source? Anyone selling any? Any info is much appreciated.

if memory serves, the stock front end on the xv is a leading axle design right?

for starters, I'd measure the offset at the triple trees from center of neck to center of the forktubes plane, then measure the length of the forks from the center of the axle to the top of the top triple tree, then use a long straight edge to make some marks on the floor and measure trail. These are the numbers necessary to calculate what offset and length forks will be close to stock geometry.

I'd be willing to bet, that you'll need something in the 2" offset range and 28-32" length....

which would mean suzuki boulevard forks or hyosung gt650 forks. Maybe first year GSXR(19924?) would work too.

Thanks for the prompt reply.
I am trying to tip town the bike a bit and improve the handling. So then arises the question of an exceptable trail margians.
The plan is inverted forks, maybe dual disk, I'm not looking to make the bike too figity, just change the stance and tighten it up. I'm not trying to preserve stock handling. I will post a photoshop over another beautiful (but not my) build to give the idea I'm working with

Here's the plan
