Anything I should know about 1980 XS400s that is unfavourable? I might pick one up from a friend as a project while I ride my CB this summer. I think they are different from the earlier models, but I am not sure in what way. Thanks for any tips!
I just finished mine a few weeks ago. i like it but its the only bike i've ever been on. Only things i don't like about it are parts seem to be a bit hard to come by, the frame where the seat goes is not straight and the back tire goes above the seat making clearance a bit tight for a cafe racer seat. luckily some of the xs650 parts are the same like some of the 650's used the same carburetors and the bronze swing arm bushings are the same. overall i'm pretty happy with the bike there are a few builds on here. This is my build its a 81 http://dotheton.com/index.php?topic=7042.0 and rudy has a great build also http://dotheton.com/index.php?topic=1566.0

It was really good.....NIN sounds great, trent reznor can still sing and I forgot how great Dave Navarro is on guitar.....all his t.v. bullshit jaded me.....but he can really rip. Jane Says encore with the steel drums and all was a blast
