Holy crap, this cover is so utilitary ugly that I want something like that for my SR250

I think i have the same tail light - be careful: the part that goes into the bracket is very brittle. Mine cracked when i've dropped the bike. The light didn't even hit anything. It just cracked under its own weight.
Now I thinking about old honda xr light:

Plates for the bike are on the way so time to make some progress...
Finally started with the wiring, as nothing is in the same place as it was, some well needed re-organising is to be done.
Most of the connectors up front will be relocated to underneath the tank. Only the connectors of the speedo dummy lights, front indicators and the ignition lock will be tucked inside the headlight.

Wiring harness done, everything seemed to work so that's a win.

Did a little mockup, still undecided on what colour to paint the tank and side covers...

Also thinking about ditching the guard on the headlight. Not too sure if i'm really fond of it.

So little update, paint happened and the bike has been put to the test a few times. Got about 1k km on the clock now of which most are off-road.

Had a friend take a turn on the bike, was a bit more exciting as his bullit 125
Oh yeah, the thing is LOUD! need to sort that out to draw a little less attention...
